Genesis AiX — Licensing
Inspection answers whether Genesis AiX is relevant to you. Licensing determines what you are authorized to do with it.
Commercial use, implementation, deployment, integration, reproduction, adaptation, derivative development, incorporation, or other use requiring Genesis AiX intellectual-property rights must be authorized through an applicable written license or other express written agreement.
No license arises merely from access, evaluation, possession, disclosure, technical interoperability, or understanding of the technology.
What a license may define
A Genesis AiX license may define, among other matters:
Authorized implementation
Which implementation or implementation class may be used.
Authorized field of use
The industries, applications, functions, or use cases for which rights are granted.
Authorized organization
Which legal entity, affiliate, division, contractor, or other party may exercise the rights.
Authorized environment
Where the licensed technology may be deployed or accessed.
Authorized duration
When the license begins, expires, renews, or terminates.
Authorized geography
Where applicable, the territories in which licensed rights may be exercised.
Model-use authority
Whether protected materials may be exposed to, incorporated into, used by, or used to train or improve AI models or automated systems.
Derivative-development authority
Whether adaptations, extensions, derivative implementations, or modifications are permitted and who owns or may use them.
Confidentiality and retention obligations
What material must remain confidential and what happens to materials upon termination.
Audit, provenance, and reporting obligations
Any required records concerning deployment, derivation, access, use, versions, provenance, or compliance.
Commercial terms
Fees, royalties, milestones, revenue participation, support, maintenance, or other consideration.
Sublicensing and transfer
Whether rights may be transferred or sublicensed and under what conditions.
Termination consequences
What rights cease, what material must be returned or deleted, and what obligations survive termination.
License Scope Controls
A license grants only the authority expressly described in it.
Authorization for one — technology; version; field; environment; organization; product; use case; geography; model; derivative — does not automatically authorize another.
No Implied Expansion
Nothing expands scope except the license itself.
Interoperability does not expand license scope. Technical compatibility does not expand license scope. Possession does not expand license scope. Knowledge of an implementation does not expand license scope. A later version is not automatically included merely because an earlier version was licensed. A related technology is not automatically included merely because the technologies interoperate.
All rights not expressly granted by the applicable license remain reserved to Genesis AiX or the applicable rights holder.

Visibility is not standing. Inspection is not authorization. Possession is not a license. A license grants only the authority expressly stated.
